Order entry

Order entry automation for wholesale distributors

A purchase order is not a quote to negotiate: the customer already agreed the price and is waiting for the goods. Ettore reads the order as it arrives — email text, PDF or spreadsheet — matches every line to your catalog, and drafts the sales order in your ERP for a person to check.

What Ettore does with an order.

In the order it happens. Nothing reaches the ERP before a person has looked at it.

  1. 01

Tells an order from a quote request

Placing an order and asking for a price are different jobs, even when both emails say “pedido”. Ettore classifies each one, so orders are marked as orders in the queue.

  2. 02

Reads the order where it is

The email body, an attached PDF, a spreadsheet, a forwarded order inside a longer thread.

  3. 03

    Finds the customer

The sender is matched to the customer record in your ERP, so the right account and price list follow.

  4. 04

    Matches every line

Each line is resolved to a SKU in your catalog, including codes from other brands. A line it is unsure of is marked Check match, never Ready.

  5. 05

    Applies the agreed price

The customer’s own price list from your ERP. A rep can still change a price before anything is written.

  6. 06

Files it in the right place

Where you run several companies, routing rules decide which one an order is filed under.

  7. 07

    Drafts the sales order

Once a rep has reviewed the lines, the order is written to the ERP as a draft. Ettore never confirms an order itself.

What stays with your team.

Every order is reviewed

A person checks the matched lines and the prices before the draft is written. There is no setting that sends an order straight through.

Confirmation is yours

Ettore writes a draft sales order. Confirming it, and everything that follows in your ERP, stays with your team.

Uncertain lines are visible

Unmatched or doubtful lines are flagged for a decision instead of being quietly filled in.

Order entry questions.

How is this different from quote automation?

A quote request asks for a price; an order places one at a price already agreed. Ettore classifies them separately, marks orders as orders, and drafts a sales order rather than a proposal.

Does Ettore confirm orders in our ERP?

No. It writes the order as a draft after a person has reviewed it. Confirming the order is always done by your team.

How many orders does it read today?

At Aronlight, our production client, Ettore read 614 purchase orders in the 30 days to September 24, 2026, alongside 166 quote requests.

Which ERPs does it write to?

Odoo, SAP Business One and Microsoft Dynamics.
